Dr Dimitrios Stougiannos   DDSc, Msc

I graduated as a dental surgeon in 2000 from the University of Aristotle in Thessaloniki Greece. Soon after graduating I worked as a clinical assistant in the Maxillofacial Department of Ioannina, where I acquired a broad knowledge and experience of oral surgery procedures.

In 2002, I moved to England where I successfully completed a Masters degree in Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics at the University of Manchester. In 2006 I was awarded a Certificate in Implantology from the University of Warwick and recently completed my second Masters degree from the University of Manchester – this time in Implantology.

At the moment I divide my time between the Manchester Dental Hospital and The Forum dental practice. At the former I work as a Specialty Doctor in Oral Surgery where I am responsible for the surgical placement of dental implants. With my passion for Implantology I was delighted to take on the additional responsibility of mentoring and teaching other dentists who are undertaking the MSc in Implantology at the University.

Over the last nine years I have attended courses in Implantology in the UK, Sweden, France, Italy and South America.

At the Forum practice I am accepting referrals from the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire areas for the provision of dental implants. With the latest technologies available at The Forum making it the perfect setting to work I am able to provide the highest quality care to all patients - even in the most demanding of cases.

Intravenous sedation is also offered as one way of helping nervous patients to access dental treatment.
Last, but not least, my patients’ care and satisfaction is the number one priority.
